Support our Bottoms-Up program

We offer you the opportunity to participate in the mitzvah of helping the Jews of Cuba return to their heritage and to provide them with needed humanitarian aid.

TheCAJM  website was designed by Eitan Behar. Visit his personal site at http://baconao.net

These are our dreams:
Assist Cuban Jews in developing a deep understanding of their Jewish heritage and ritual practices
Build a bridge of friendship between Jewish Cubans and Jews from other countries.
Assist and encourage educators, both professional and lay, willing to travel to Cuba to share their expertise.
Send Jewish literature and religious texts in Spanish to develop community and personal libraries.
Take visitors. Our organized trips are not just to observe life in Cuba. We go to participate as Jewish scholars, rabbis, teachers, or simply as friends expressing our own personal Jewish values and experiences.
Advise and encourage travelers to support our work as well as the work of other organizations engaged in similar endeavors. We attempt to always work in harmony toward our common goal.
Advise and assist scholars to access necessary materials for research into the life and history of the Cuban Jewish community.
Provide needed medicines, toiletries, kosher ritual foods, school supplies and other humanitarian aid.
Disseminate information on Jewish Cuba through our website and speaking engagements.
Assist in the resettlement of those who have made Aliyah to Israel by
encouraging the development of contacts between these new olim and well-established Israelis who are willing to be their friends. Through such contacts the Cuban olim will have the opportunity to develop a better sense of life as Israeli citizens. Their new friends may also be able to help the Cubans acquire jobs and basic household needs.
